Magic School Bus: Inside Ralphie--A Book About Germs

Here's what I learned:

Red blood cells carry oxygen. White blood cells search out and destroy germs. Platelets help heal cuts. Part of blood is clear liquid. It looks red because of the red blood cells.

Bacteria are germs that can make us sick. Bacteria can divide and soon there are more and more. If there are too many for the white blood cells to kill, then you get sick. White blood cells mark the bacteria with antibodies so that they know what to attack.

Here's what I liked:

I like the Magic Schoolbus, how it can turn into a bat, a bee or any animal. It can get big and little and it can fly and make people turn into bats or butterflies or any animal. It can go underwater and it can turn into an airplane and it can escape tornadoes. The kids always go on field trips in it with their teacher, Mrs. Frizzle. The kids sometimes get scared!

In this book, it got really little and it was swallowed by Ralphie. Later the lizard poured pepper in front of his nose and he sneezed the Schoolbus out.

What I like about Arnold is that he always says, "I think I should have stayed home!"
